The first time I tried Vietnamese Coffee I was hooked! If you are a coffee lover like me, you definitely need to try it. You can make it at home with the right tools or check out a local shop. Here are two coffee shops in Washington where you can enjoy some delicious Vietnamese Coffee.
Coffeeholic House (Bellevue, WA)
I was first introduced to Vietnamese Coffee at Coffeeholic House! The staff is super friendly and takes the time to explain the drinks and answer any questions you have. I get the Bac Siu, half sweet. They describe it as a lighter version of Vietnamese Coffee with less caffeine. It's so creamy, smooth and sweet without drowning out the coffee flavor.
Coffeeholic House is located in old Bellevue and has a young, hip vibe with a huge beautiful mural where you can take your photo for social media. Seating is limited but there are a few seats inside and out. I've been here a few times, and the inside seating has always been full. It's a great place to grab your coffee when you're on the go. If you have some time, I recommend taking your drink and walking to the Bellevue Downtown Park. If you're up for a longer walk, go to Meydenbauer Beach Park. The parking situation is angle parking on the side streets or parallel parking on the street. Coffeeholic House also has two locations in Columbia City and Greenwood.
Drip & Sip (Tukwila, WA)
Want more chill vibes to hang out and relax for awhile, try Drip & Sip. Nestled in a neighborhood in Tukwila, you walk in and feel like you're walking into a friend's home. It smells heavenly inside. Must be the Banh Mi, which I didn't try. The cashier was very friendly and let me try the drink to check the sweetness. ( I don't like overly sweet drinks.) I got the Ca Phe Sua Da which is described as condensed milk, traditional phin brewed coffee. It was perfection! The cafe is pretty spacious with a variety of seating options inside and outside. I sat inside for a bit, and when an outside table opened up, I moved right away. I enjoyed sitting outside with the cool breeze, indulging in my coffee time. I take my coffee time very seriously. The best part is that it is dog friendly! Next time I will bring my dog and have some mommy doggy chill time. There is no parking lot but I was able to easily find a parking spot across the street.
I love Vietnamese Coffee and I think you will too! Check out one of these cafes and let me know what you think. If you have any other recommendations, leave them in a comment below.
Happy Coffee Time! 💕Amy
